Who's got one, and how do you like it? Couldn't be happier with mine. I might use it outside of its intended range once in a while, but heck.. I like running the thing.
All stock, except for a removed spark screen.

I gotta 261-CM and it's a damn fine stock saw, but all this hype about the 241 is getting me to thinkin'. I'm not sure this is a good thing, lol.
Calm down they aint going away yet. Yours is better for blocking the 241 is better for limbing.

The 261 C-M pulls the 18" just fine. Of course its stock and I ain't got no ported anything in my regimen. Gotta couple of saws with base gasket deletes, but that's about it. I'd like to try a 241 but no one I know has one. To be honest with ya, most times I pull the 55 out that I bought from Mark, @hoskvarna. It's a bad ass lightweight saw, and it friggin rips. It pulls an 18" bar like its nothing.

It's been my go to saw ever since it arrived. Just thought I'd throw it up on the bench for the Glamour Shot pic...you fellas remember that high dollar Glamour Shot photo BS back in the 80's don't ya?

Tell ya right now Mark, it's a cutting machine. If you ever get in dire straits about a saw, don't you fret, I'll be more than happy to send it back to ya...absolutely zero charge. I've enjoyed seeing the pics of the shop being rebuilt and I think the last shot I got of it was you were getting ready to have it wired.

Hope everything is going well for ya brother. March on my man.

Love the 241. The power it has is amazing. Mine seems to run a little on the rich side. When limbing it has one heck of a burble. Put it in something over 8" and it cleans right up. Not sure why this is, but it doesn't make me love it any less. I had to order mine, and when I did I got a few weird looks. I ran it a couple days and went back to tell the owner of the saw shop how great it was. He ordered himself one and now they are a stock item.

When I ordered mine I was going to also order the stuff to convert it to run a .325. I decided to give the picco a shot. I couldn't believe how good it cut even with the factory anti-kick chain. I've never even given the
.325 another thought.

I have one ready to go. Been cutting old bushes , and refuse to ruin a new chain. One reason I tried steering away from the picco was I heard it dulls easy/ faster. I haven't found that to be the case.

Nope i've never run one.
U should before making a decision on the 421 just on cost. The 241 ported is amazing and close to a ported 346xp. Ive had both and the 241 is one of thoso special models that just has something about it. For about 12" wood and under it has torque for days

Up to what size limbing? My ported 241 would handle anything up to 16" pretty darn good. 241 is much more agile in limbs up to about 16" than that 261 would u say?

I've had a string of smaller saws, using them to remove feral pine, olive and acacia species mostly. I cut myself and have employees aswell.
Husky 345,445,346oe and 550 all before a couple of 241's.
The 241 is the lightest and runs the longest on a tank - both features that make them extremely productive in my work.
I think they are stronger than the 345/445, probably lineball with a stock 346oe and don't get anywhere near a 550.
That said, they have enough grunt for what I do and the other advantages of run time, ease of starting and 3/8lp or 325 flexibility makes them a great fit in my work.
The 550 stays, but it runs 3/8 chain and seems like a class bigger saw. The 345/346/445 all were sold when I got the 241.

Mine remain stock, so that makes a good comparison with a 346 hard as they are obviously so easy to base gasket delete and muff mod that I can't really remember what a stock one was like.

Up to 16 like you said. The nice part of having this saw is how fast you can sharpen the picco chain.

I love picco chain! Im running it on my ported ne346xp. That was the key to the 241 performing so well IMO was the picco PS
How do you setup the 346 for picco?

Cannon Supermini 16" C1 mount with PS chain 62dl and a custom Dansco sprocket from Definitive Dave and dont let anyone tell u that the Picco sprocket doesnt run smoother than a regular 3/8. 32$ for that sprocket and worth it
