I have two off of the top of my head.
1 - 1971 Plymouth Barracuda - $300 circa 1997 or so. I go to look at the car and it is beat. 225/6 auto on column. Not what I was looking for. I left. Came back next day to get it and it was gone...
2 - Craigslist ad, "moving sale make offer" I clicked on the ad since it popped up in my "chainsaw" search. 272XP very clean will not start. I immediately email him and ask about it. He sold it that morning. For $35... :BangHead:

My only regret was a '59 eldo barritz triple white drop top in 1987 in reading pa.
I was in college at the time and wanted one ...BAD...asking price was $8900( which was a fair price then- there was little market for caddys at the time)
I was in love with the fins...

long story short...I had to move my corvette out of the garage to store the caddy and could not find a suitable space for something THAT long...it sat for a month before someone drove it off..

I still wake up in the night thinking about that one.

For cars I could have bought a 1963 Studebaker GT Hawk with 83K in 1979 for $1500. The same year I could have owned a 1969 Shelby Hertz that was restored for $6500.

Nothing really haunts me. But, I have missed a couple 064s I hem hawed around about. They weren't steals but nice saws and I still want one.

The one that got away was the big-busted blonde nymphomaniac I dated during my single days. She could cook, too.

Then she dropped out of school, joined the Peace Corps, went to the Philippines and disappeared from the face of the Earth.

O well.

Mine was a tall, slim, firey red head with a six figure salary at Coca Cola and a libido stuck in overdrive, oh well.

A very clean barely used 365 Special for $350.00 and by the time I scratched that much up, yup, it was gone, gone, gone.

Worst was traveling one day back in the late eighty's, came across the most beautiful 1979 F250XLT, 4x4, 429cj, 4 speed Black w/red interior and 40" mudders. Could not wait to get home and go to the bank. Not one would finance sight unseen. You could have followed me home by the trail of tears.

If we are talking cars a B3 Blue 1969 Barracuda notch back, no engine or transmission in it, but it had a V8 K member and came with a low miles 4 barrel 360 and 727 Torqueflite out of a 1974 Fury sedan. Body and interior were a solid 9 out of 10. I was 17, hunting my first car, dad talked me out of it in favor of a later model Mustang, it was $3,500.00. :bash:. Was it the right decision at the time, probably, one day though I am going to have to own one.
