Anybody have one of those fancy bernzomatic torches? I'm considering on for doing crankcases. 4000 or 8000 series?
I have 4000 with map that I will use occasionally to heat the area around the bearing pocket. Really only use it when things are very stuck. For removals only

Why not for putting it back together?
I prefer not to beat the crankcase together, I’ll just take it slow - crankcase halves in the toaster oven and bearings in the freezer, then use a crankcase tool (MattyO’s) to pull the crank through.
