Utah, unfortunately.....
Nice collection you got the 50cc section covered now for the rest
LOL! The rest of my saws are a little more.....eclectic by comparison. 60cc Class is covered by a Poulan Pro Super 380, MMWS Stihl MS390, and ZCS Husqvarna 359. 70cc Class is an Olympyk 272F, ZCS Husqvarna 372XP-W, and a Poulan 4900. My big saws are a 288, 395, and P61.

I'll try posting this screen capture again. OK, looks like it worked. It looks like a strato design if you follow the blue and green airflows in the 2nd pic, but I'm not a 2 cycle expert.
yes it's a stratto charged saw.
Hint: there MIGHT be a thread on this saw started soon. A member here might take one apart and have a look inside...

I'm personally not real crazy about a tool-less chain adjust. They always seem to brake...

So like a mini 6100. Interesting
Yes, 35cc strato, 60cc stratto... Now we need the 90cc stratto!!!

yea yea yea... we'll see what home depot lists for their chainsaws and what ships to the dealers...
I am glad to see they are using a double bar nut instead of the single nut like the 341/401. I also like the protruded chain adjuster so you can adjust easy. Assuming they will be running 3/8LP spur sprockets. would like to compare to .325 NK chain as well.

I'm wondering if this will be a clam shell in a plastic case or a mag case... Steve???

Speaking of chain and sprockets... Somebody found the Oregon part number for Dolmar 401/341 rim sprockets... :aplastao:

No luck on rim sprockets but the spur sprocket is 28001 it fits small husky , partner , pioneer , jobu , jonsereds as well there are a lot of saws that use that clutch drum

yea, the trick is if you can find a rim sprocket so you can use a taller rim. I did a hack port job on my dcs401 and with the extra torque I wanted to spin the chain faster since they run a lower rpm already. I have successfully modified a 026/260 clutch drum to fit the 401 but their circumference is just the right size for the clutch to fit and grab, but also too small on the OD for the brake band to grab and hold. I might even try some 325 nk on it if I get ambitious, maybe make a youtube video... we'll see... I have yet to make my grinder thread... Shh... dont remind philbert... LOL...

Thats a saweeeet one Chris, How many CT's in your stable now.

Lee

Thanks Lee. I have three of these big ladies now - two later model AV machines and this earlier unit. They are great looking saws, and good fun to run as well. I will be checking this one for spark tomorrow - hopefully I can get it to run over the weekend.

Regards

Chris

When did you start collecting? I've been at it for about 13 years.
Used to turn over every rock i found to find a saw. Every lead i
heard about i followed up on. I used to be on CL and ebay everyday.
Chris has been at it a long time as well and has built a fantastic
collection of some very fine saws.

You'll find your 100 plus cc Dolmar when you least expect it.
