I didn't think $40 shipped for both spikes was terrible. Also I would still let someone borrow some to get some made if they have a source to get some cut

I thought the same ...I think I paid close to that for one awhile back .

About 26$ for a set of small EU spikes from Dolmar Germany, retail - 30€ shipping within the EU.

That eBay pricing is fair, I'd jump on it if I were in the US.

Take into consideration that Dolmar/Makita parts will only get scarcer & more expensive.

Also, those spikes are long NLA!!!
