When did you start collecting? I've been at it for about 13 years.
Used to turn over every rock i found to find a saw. Every lead i
heard about i followed up on. I used to be on CL and ebay everyday.
Chris has been at it a long time as well and has built a fantastic
collection of some very fine saws.

You'll find your 100 plus cc Dolmar when you least expect it.

Lee

Very cool, Uncle Lee.

I've only owned 3 saws over 100cc's. A Stihl 075AV that needed a little work. I donated it to the Stumpy Fundraiser(Matt aka Hedgerow went through it first), a nice Homelite 750 that I sold like an idiot(I was new to saws), and a 107cc Pioneer(700 or 750) that I gave to my buddy Perry. The next closest are a 2100CD that I sold to bryanr2, and a P61 that is on my shelves, it was given to me by kz1000.

Ok Dolmar gurus. I need help. Got the spring put on, but didn't use the new arm because my bolt is actually too small for the new arm. I can't get the brake to stay released. Just the vibration of the engine running will trip it. Am I missing some sort of catch?

Shawn,
Pics of how you have it installed/ set up may be of assistance.

Will get one as soon as I get home.
I copied the pics I received from leeha.
Pretty straight forward, or so I thought
Agreed on it appearing straight forward, but lots of Dodads, and Thing-a-majigs.

Also compare the brake arm you were sent, to the one on your saw. If the one you have is bent, it will affect tension.

The arm I received needs a different bolt than the arm on my saw. Upgrade perhaps?
I'll dismantle it again shortly and provide pics.

Ok for anyone interested or can add to the info, I just got off the phone with Makita/Dolmar actually Dolmar Georgia, we can only order Dolmar models "while supplies last" then the Dolmar models are gone, as of now you can no longer order Dolamr 6400's or PS-35's, other models may be extinct too. So then you would order the Makita line which will come in the Dolmar Red but will say Makita and use Makita model Titles. For example the Teal Makita DCS6401 will be Red and be titled Makita.
