Dude take a deep breath and calm down. Post #231 both vids can be watched back to back. I have no love for the 500i, but the manner in which both saws were run was not the same. Would say the same thing if it was a 7310 and a 572. SMH:facepalm:

And while we're at it get the fork out of here with the dusty ash comments fellas. I've literally been cutting eab killed ash for approximately 15 years. If the ash your cutting is that dusty your chain is dull. Period!
Give this man a beer :beer-toast1:dust=dull chain:aplastao:

Sorry to hear this buddy all this over gardening equipment at the end of the day:(

ya know...i didnt want to say anything but...

when guys use perfectly cleaned PSP chainsaws for digging gardens it really pisses me off...do you know how lovingly and methodically i maintain my saws? and you just go and dig gardens with yours ? man...
so a question... what kinda oil do you use when "gardening" with yer saws ? 40:1 ? 32:1 ? amsoil makes sense to me as it says "SOIL" right there in the name..."Am-american" and "soil" for dirt ?

Guys please turn your sarcasm filters ON or you will not be recieving any more posts after dec 31, 2020.

You’ve got it all wrong Angie. You don’t want to dig with em, ol’ @Definitive Dave tried that with poor results.
Guys that garden with saws obviously use them for harvest. Like green tomatoes that don’t want to come off easy, cucumbers, squash, etc...

I’m kinda glad this thread was started and Ol’ Randy came forward with that information regarding Mitch. That kinda stuff needs to be out in the open. I’m thinking back to a previous saw that Jason Stratton was posting a lot of videos on- 661cm. I was considering have him port one so I didn’t have to wait 6 months for Mastermind. Randy didn’t tell me everything that he was privy to regarding Jason. Not long after that, Jasons “trial and conviction” took place and all the truth got laid out for everyone to see.
Fast forward to now, I have just recently come back onto the public part of the forum (I say that bc I have snatched some saws from the classifieds here and there), and I have been really interested in the 7310. I found a bunch of videos on the model from Mitch on YouTube and have been posting them here. Now that this info has come out, I feel a little guilty as an accomplice for advertising for him and drumming up business for him. I reckon I owe y’all an apology. I wasn’t aware of what I am now and I was in no way trying to mislead any of you or was I in cahoots with Mitch.

I’ve said it before many times but something my papaw told me “it takes a lifetime to build a good name and a second to destroy it.” I live by them words. What I appreciate most in people is honesty, integrity, and transparency. That’s how I try to be. It’s certainly disappointing to be faced with the knowledge that that makes me the anomaly in society.

That said, I’ve got to apologize to Randy, bc way back years ago I said I would never own another builders saw or have them port one for me. That’s a decision I made and having said it to Randy- I reckon I gave my word. 50 some odd saws later, I’ve kept my word... except for that 661 incident, and now on the 7310. I was considering having Mitch port one for me since he seemed to be doing the R&D on the model and Randy had told me he hadn’t seen one in person.

Now with all this coming out in this thread, I’m going to take this as an opportunity to self reflect and walk away with the lesson.
Good people make mistakes. It's what he learns from them and does after that makes the man imo. Ive messed up plenty, made sincere apologies. You gonna be alright ole boy.

You've always been a good friend Steven.

No worries.....

I get further behind every week. I can only manage to get about 5 saws a week done, and sometimes only 4. Usually more than that arrive to be done. That's with me telling people how far behind I am, and turning down the majority of saws I'm asked to do.

I absolutely do not build a better saw than some of the other builders you will find here. I really don't. My saws are nothing special. I've just managed to promote myself far and wide. As I get older, I will likely manage to get even less saws done, so I try to promote other builders that I know will do the customer a solid job, and stand behind the work. Sadly, over the years I've had nearly every saw builders work on my bench, and at times I've been absolutely disgusted by some of the horrible things I've seen passed off as professional port work. So the list of people who I recommend is not a long one.

All that said, I will also not engage in tearing down another person who is dealing honestly with their customers regardless of whether or not I think their work is subpar. Considering that we are all human, and as humans we are imperfect beings, we are prone to making mistakes, the work I happened to see could have been the result of a bad day, or a honest mistake.

What I will do is what I've done here. Warn the readers of this forum when I see a group of you rallying around a person I know for a fact has dealt dishonestly with his customers in the past.
