I decided to pull out a set of calipers to better describe my issue. In order, new bearing, old bearing, new bearing, old pin. The only difference I see is my new bearings are B-88 S bearings and the old ones (as well as all the n.o.s. Mac bearings I've seen) are B-88 C, but I don't see any way of ordering "C" sized bearings.

Only thing I can remember is there is an oversized pin available

If I remember correctly 1/2" Oregon chipper is around .040---.045 . It will pull big old chips and about drag you over the log .Fact I've got a NOS Oregon 7 tooth rim for 1/2" but I'm half afraid to even try it out on a 125 Mac .

I am around 0.060 on the SP125 with a 16" bar....
Whew!
Talking about taking almost a 1/16" "bite" with every tooth!
Would be "fairly" aggressive.
With a 16" bar I could definitely see it.
125 ccs probably wouldnt care much, as long as you can hold on.
Make sure shes on the dogs before you pull the trigger.:D

Actually I've never filed a .404 chain to the point it needed the rakers filed .Some of the real old chipper chains might have been but I never checked .That said I've worn out buckets full of 3/8" chain .I run those until there is nothing left to file . During that time I might only hit the rakers a couple of times . What I do do is open the gullet clear down to the tie strap every so often so it carries a larger chip before it rocks out .

Ignitions can be a pain in the behind on shelf queens .If they are set up rich after a period of time the carbon fouling will make the spark plug ineffective .I've had this problem on just about everything I own .
Recently trying to get a super 44A Mac running because of the way the plug is oriented I could not get a plug wrench on it until I ordered a long socket scrench . I also ordered a plug sand blaster because I misplaced the one I have .I've got about half a drawer full of plugs of nearly every size ever made . I might never need to ever buy a spark plug again if they clean up .
A little off topic but on old "Ollie " my Oliver dozer that sits more than it runs the plugs were fouled and I only had 4 new ones .Found two old ones I thought would work but when it warmed up I had two cylinders out of 6 misfiring . Not a good thing trying to pull down a 100 foot tree .It had enough on 4 but it was nip and tuck .

I'm going to that Ohio "saw fest " thing .I'm going to leave the dawgs on the saws .If they hook ,they hook . The last time I took them off it took me a month of Sundays to find them all plus the bolts . I'll take a couple of McCullochs but only operate one in competition and that's an 805 with an early 850 engine in the 5 cu inch class .The others ,a Titan 70, SP 1000 (partner P100 ) plus the SP 125 is only to show them because these models are rare in Ohio .I might run the 1000 if I can't get the Husqvarna 2100 CD started because it can be a bear at times . Reminds me of my first wife .
