Not that I am aware. I had to heat the back side of the af cover with a propane torch to melt the glue off the tag to remove it for painting.

Looking for part # or possible cross reference for 797 bearings. Or if anyone's got some for sale.

Darin - I don't have the numbers in front of me but those bearings are very standard, could be a 6203 maybe. Just take one to a local bearing shop and they will have them on the shelf. Make sure to get a good one, normally for saws you would choose a C3 fit as they have a little extra clearance to help deal with the heat.

Thanks Mark I appreciate it. I've been looking as much as I can with little info. That will help. Hopefully have time to look today. Been getting hammered with snow and haven't had time. Thanks again.

As per the "big black book" McCulloch 797 mains -66016 .Same as the CP/Sp 125 and possibley 101 kart engine .

I have a seal cross reference via Bearings Inc ..I do not have a bearing cross reference only generic sizes .Any good bearing house should have .

66016 is the McCulloch part number, 6203 is a standard bearing designation.

I found a set from an eBay seller in Canada. Marmaxs Karts and Parts. I contacted many Mac parts sellers and this was the only one with them. Don't know much about them other than they fit 797s. 40 bucks for both with the seals. I'll post some pictures and info when they get here.

There's any number of places that might have the bearings and seals .Due to the fact they are all SAE sizes it should not be a big deal .This I have found using somebody like Bearings Inc ,Kaman bearing it's going to be a special order . Somebody like Randy who sells on flea bay under Randys engine, which is in Ohio probably has them in stock and will be about the same as a bearing house.

You might try Mike Acres, the same guy who has the web site in Burnaby BC.Mike has the entire NW Territories of known OEM stock in all of Canada and the prices are very much in line. Consolidated Equipment ,Burnaby BC.Google .

The high cover had me fooled. I see it has an SDC carb though. I wish I could find a 797 at a yard sale! People in my area ask retail for their crap so I just stopped yard sailing.

Yeah I was pleased to find it had a cube carb. I think I gave 15 bucks for that 3-10

Do you have any e models

I have a full functioning 3-10E. Battery pack and all. It's like cutting with a 3120xp with the power of a plastic. Poulan!

That's awesome. I would like to find a way to repower one with an updated li ion battery. We should start a major discussion on the e saws. Like amperage and voltage requirements and also wiring diagrams

When I get home I will scan the e series saw shop manual and post up some stuff. Mark and I think Joey have had packs made at batteries plus. I made my own from sub c cells.
