I'm looking for the starter pulley bearing,part # 103536 for my 1-75.Bob J.doesn't have one & I'm not paying $10 on Feebay for a 50 cent part.

If you had the cutters and the tie and a good enough lathe to turn the pins it would not be a big deal .I think I have about 18 feet of Carlton and three loops of Oregon 12 and the Monarch 10" EE is still not in working condition .

Well in fact I do have a lathe and cutters that could be made to work, the problem is the proper material and heat treatment. While the rivet portion is soft and malleable, the pivot portion that goes through the drive link is hardened to minimize wear. I have tried to drill out the drive links before to accept the larger diameter pivots but the drive links are very hard and there is no simple was to fixture them to facilitate drilling them out even if I had the right diameter cobalt or carbide drill bit. In this case the chain is going to be used on a fairly regular basis so I'd like to have the OEM parts if at all possible.

I don't know if they make 4140 steel in small rounds or not .Pre heat rod is machinable plus unless I'm mistaken will "wear harden " .I used cold rolled pre heat 1" 4140 rod to make the mandrel to hold the cylinder if I turn down the base . I'm also thinking about drill rod but I'm not sure if it could be peened without cracking it --just a thought .

I did look up 4140 rod at McMaster -Carr and a short length of small rod is not that costly .

Well gents,I finally got around to pulling the carb off the 1-70 today, what a stinky mess,Lol.I've had old gas smells before, but this one takes the cake.I spilled a little of the fuel on my jeans & my eyes have been watering for hrs.now.The tank was dry when I got the saw & I didn't realize it had a wick filter in it.That wick must've retained some really nasty stuff over the yrs.Anyway,I got the carb torn down & it's ready for a new kit.I just gotta find the time to do the rebuild & I've got one nice day to do about 10 things before it rains pretty much all weekend.

I finally received the long awaited mystery saw.A lot of you were thinking it was a 6-10,sorry to say it's the sorriest "saw" I ever bought. The engine is siezed tight as a drum, the muffler is so rusted that if I sneeze it'll crumble off,the choke rod is siezed to the carb, the recoil is siezed & when I took it off to see what was wrong the clutch started falling apart.Yeah,it's the sorriest "saw" I ever bought.Needless to say it's going back.BTW,it's a 2-10,too light to be a 6-10.I've never seen so many cob webs in a saw in my life. And the real sad part was that it still had old rancid fuel in it that must be at least 30-40 yrs.old.

I came across this chain today. Is it worth anything? Or just a regular chain?
Looked to be for about 16" bar. Not sure how to read these codes.

I think that's McCulloch "Pintail" chain. Mark would probably know more about it but McCulloch made a lot of their own chain in-house and the professional grade I think
was "Super Pintail" and the more common chain was "Pintail".
