My only hope of ever being able to find anything is to have it well organized and well documented. I find my memory is less and less reliable these days... actually, I remember exactly what they look like and where I put them, unfortunately the memories are not that firmly attached to the reality of what they actually look like and where I, in reality, put them.

Yes on the MM25, the lever is a manual oiler to supplement the automatic pump. McCulloch continued to provide a manual override for the oilers on their saws right up through the 300 Series. I don't know how much influence McCulloch had on the "Italian McCulloch Factory" but a few of the models produced there also had manual and automatic oilers.

KIMG0481.JPG Today was a rain day so I piddled a little with the MM25.
The pull cord is dangling so I recoiled it and thought I had it fixed. But after a few pulls it went back to hanging out and not recoiling all the way. My history with recoil is a struggle at best. Maybe I did it wrong maybe something is wrong.
Anyhow good news is I dribbled some fuel in the carb and she runs. Briefly.
I'll look into some fuel filter, lines, carb stuff when I get a chance. I don't know what it takes so I'll be on the web looking for stuff.
The chain on this thing has been sharpened down to the nub so I'll need to find out the size it takes.

That dude has had that on craigslist for years!
Ya for $600 it will be a few years longer before someone buys it!

I paid $300 for a mint condition, low-hour one and that's the most I'd ever pay. They run ok but they're not on the level of a 372 or 044/MS-440.

They're kind of sluggish for a 70cc saw.

I was talking about the splitter. I think the guy was asking $100 bucks but it's broken and doesn't work.

I wouldn't give $600 for the saw and the splitter if the splitter worked
and was delivered

Although working around an electric splitter would be nice and quiet if the motor was big enough to do some work
You could really hear the wood creaking and popping

I'd give $100 for the splitter just to have it for the museum. If anyone is close enough to collect it we can talk about making a transfer at some point.

Maint Chief knows this is in the museum, unfortunately the tank is broken so I wasn't able to give it a go.
