OHHHH do not mess with an Eagle. :)
My dog damn near went to doggie jail on that/
There will be no Eagle chooting around here.

Several years ago bunch of dip chits were chooting hawks, somehow they still have hunting rights after the dnr got done. I guess $$$ enabled them to keep their firearms & hunting rights.

I have never and I will never shoot or injure an Eagle and I know most will not either. About two weeks back I was sitting out by the shop in the evening having a cigar and I heard a woman yelling. I could not see who it was as the trees blocked her but I started walking to the road. It was a neighbor lady yelling to call my dog. He is never far from me but if he sees a vehicle stop in the road he thinks... Oh they might have a treat. Apparently she thought she saw a downed Eagle in the ditch. My dog had went out there and "sniffed" whatever it was. She was screaming to call my dog and put him away. He was quite confused and already went up to the house. I spoke with her and she said she had called animal rescue but demanded my dog be contained. I told her he was a huge wimp but I would try to get him in the house. I got him in and then talked with her more. She said "animal rescue" would be here in short order. I told her to let me know when the situation was under control. I sat here for a couple hours and finally vehicles started showing up. It was well past dark and I walked out to find a line of vehicles of conservation officers and wildlife rescue folks. Of course there was no Eagle but some officers and folks drove from two hours away to investigate.

The dog slept in his bed not knowing what it was all about.

In preparation for some soggy meadow baling coming up I put the duals on the round baler. Not so much to keep the baler from falling away but to keep the pickup open far enough to keep it from closing up and plugging.

I found some bolts with threaded heads that were made for this purpose on the interwebs and some threaded rod from Grainger and duals were born.

I had to build a super deep socket to get the nuts tightenable on the new dual rods. It was rather fun cutting a brand new SnapOn socket in half lol

The meadows are too wet for the discbine so I went after them with the stalk chopper. This is the driest spot by far lol.

Never seen a baker with duals on it. You folks must be getting plenty of rain up yonder.

Weather guessers are clucking about some rain here tonight, if it amounts to much I suspect that with the upper 80’s temps over the weekend we will start cutting some beans.

I don’t know of anyone else with duals on a round baler with big tires like mine. It’s know a few guys with older balers that had smaller 11l’s that dualed them up.

I had the duals on my 8575 square baler for doing meadows and kept them when I sold it. That thing was literally 3x heavier than my round baler. In parts of our meadows when I close the door on the baler the ground shakes and jiggles for 20’ in every direction around me. If you fall in you best stop RIGHT NOW and get something hooked on to assist pulling you out as well as something for the tires to climb up on to as you get pulled out. It’s nuts.

There was water running off the tires most of the day when I was cutting. Takes big ones to cut in a few places here lol.
