What is the airplane doing ?

Three major malfunctions today. Looks to be about 3 more weeks before everything is fixed. Did finish the hay today with the other tractor, after a lot of hooking and unhooking. This looks expensive!! The John Deere is inoperable with the fuel line broken. And the disc mower is toast!!
Plus the water pump went out on the 1855!

We had a plane down out in our field once. Went under a line. Didn’t hurt much on the plane but she didn’t act right I guess. He caught the tail on a wire going onto an old abandoned farm house. I didn’t personally see it. Pilots boss called us to let us know. He put her down in our wheat field there.

June 3rd. My grain corn is tassling now. It has caught about 2 inches of rain that the silage field hasn't.

Ahh.. that's what I'm missing! Everything here is grain corn. Didn't realize silage corn was different. (Im still new to farming in general!) . Everyone around here feeds grass silage bales.

I would have liked it planted earlier. But not too early. Filling silo in the middle of August is never fun.

The kids and I went and finished planting our white pine last night. Planted 8 for a total of 15 little guys. Hoping to have some sizeable trees in 20 years or so.
