This is a pretty normal looking one. No telling what the cores will look like with this baler. It just wads it in till it begins tumbling. And honestly this is the first round baler I’ve ever owned. Neighbors all had this style too so I don’t know much else but it’s not considered soft core. Though the very beginning of the bale in my opinion is soft till it finally tumbles then it starts actually packingAre those soft core?

It is a 489. It does well…just really slow compared to the discbines everyone is running around here. What haybine?
We had a very brief shower this evening. Left a nice rainbow for us.Hay looks like thunder.
I meant the hay looked real nice. I run a 488 haybine. Works for meWe had a very brief shower this evening. Left a nice rainbow for us.
Looks like that rainbow touches down in the local settling ponds...We had a very brief shower this evening. Left a nice rainbow for us.
Thanks! It is the thickest I’ve ever cut. We had lots of rain in May, a good amount of heat, and I put a good dose of fertilizer on in April. Unfortunately the alfalfa all laid down, but the grass in some spots is was up to the top of the hood on my JD 6400.I meant the hay looked real nice. I run a 488 haybine. Works for me
I would use one if I had one. I will put it up in single windrows tomorrow with a rotary rakeI have a feeling you will need a tedder to get that dried down.
I don’t got all that fancy stuff either. Sounds like we operate similar.I would use one if I had one. I will put it up in single windrows tomorrow with a rotary rake
I believe those are for 12 oz cans and ice. My neighbor has one just like it but it is red and white. The plastic case that is.Any of you gents with 6000/7000 series Deeres have these ridiculous elbow busting plastic manual cases on the left hand side of your cabs.
