That PS-550 I got from You is amazing, second only to my large frame Dolmar's, one of my go-to-saws!

Love my old 6100 that started life as a rental saw. The 550 looks like they might share a gas tank. Don’t think they sold the 550 stateside but I’m not the authority on that.

Dolmar PS-550 = Makita EA5600

The air filter is similar to that of the PS-6100.

I got all my patches, waterways & headlands rolled up. 55 bales, probably closer to 52 if they were all the same size.

The bale chamber would increase in size even if it wasn’t eating hay. I suppose it something in the tractor hydraulics but haven’t figured it out yet.

I have 6 bales at 48”-54”, some 60” & up to 70”. Settings were supposed to be 70”.

A local feed yard is offering $110 a bale, a hay buyer is reportedly offering up to $180 for grass hay & up to $230 for alfalfa.

I am hoping to hear back from the buyer tomorrow.

I’m about as experienced as you are with garlic, ~5yrs, so i don’t want anyone thinking I’m the expert. Your stalks look as good or better than mine so I’m bettin you’ll be pleased with your crop.
Last week the scapes got cut off. Today I see that the bottom leaf on most of the plants has turned brown and drooped, so I had to take a look at 1 of the morsels.

Looks like they need a week or two to get a bit bigger.
But looking real good IMO.

Probably cut this coming weekend if the guessers are to be believed. Will keep watching the weather and schedule accordingly. Rain this week is a blessing that is for sure.
