My dad "I wanted to make hay from that grass!", me "Yeah, right! YOU will make hay, didn't make any last year either and this year You are down to 3 rabbits."

I knoked it down, it can rot for all I care!
But I am not promoting snake habitats so close to our house.

The mower is his, it tends to run iffy but it behaved and didn't miss a beat today.
It is a behemoth to handle despite being selfpropelled.
It is a heavy beast, whenever the engine acts up it has to be "towed" back home.

Could still be baled if he wanted hay though right?

What snakes do you have there Wilhelm? Does that mower have a sickle bar on it? I have a 42" for my gravely I use for some areas.

Don't know on snakes, but heard tell tales of men arm thick ones rummaging in high grass that is undisturbed for months.
One of my coworkers is a hunter, I'll ask him about it.

Yes, dedicated sickle bar mover, not a combi machine.
This is my dads "little one", 2-stroker, much less power, much narrower bar.

LOL!!! 🤣
We don't own a hay turner, nor baler - everything is sweat powered.
I changed out three t-shirts today, would have been four or even five but I had no dry ones left in my shop and the wet ones didn't dry out due to cloud coverage.

I already collected and stored the hay to its "final destination", fastest hay I ever made! 😜
This was my contribution to his hay making efforts, any future hay making this year he can move his a$$ and handle himself.

Once you get that line off it doesn’t come out because why would it. If that sensor w wire was gone it could come out. So of course it’s got threads longer than my. Never mind. So big steel line above that also must come out…..

Doesn't take many HP to run a sickle mower. My gravely is 7.6hp and runs the sickle at an idle. Nice!

Last year's fluffy hay from one of my lower fields. My Massey had a power shuttle failure last month, and is at the dealership getting repaired. I hope I get it back soon! This week would have been the week to mow a few fields to get a jump on the season. But that's the farming life!

I had the neighbors plant 25 acres of feed corn in one of my lower fields in order for them to kill the weeds and re-seed. They get free land to plant corn, and I get a newly seeded field. I already have too much farmland to keep up with!
