I know around here there occasionally plant turnips for erosion & winter cover crop. It seems to me that the cows like to work them out & munch on them.

yeah there doing the erosion planting here again after a break for several years
Environmental government on the farmers backs

fodder beet is from the beet family closely related to sugar beet , Chard , mangle wurzel and beetroot there’s different varieties some that grow out the ground and some that go down a good ways

if you let the cows and sheep eat them off then take a cultivator in there
it’ll lift the the ones they haven’t eaten

That super sharp curve there is where the irrigation tires come through.

Been unseasonably warm here. Reasonably dry too

I’ve grew up using them they call them t posts and sell insulators with them. They’re sorta multipurpose I assume just for fences and different types of fence material

Anyone else have flowers on their fruit trees. Plums and peaches are starting to flower here. I think it might be too soon. It has been a mild winter, I think they are jumping the gun.

I was waiting for a cold spell to prune, we had one around Christmas, I figured more time to go dormant was needed. Yesterday morning it was 27, so I went and pruned. Going to be 60's for the next two weeks anyway. This has been a weird winter.
