View attachment 325630That’s the tire. I believe they’re dt710 Goodyear. Awful. If the ground was dry they would pull. One small slip they’d cake mud in them. Then you were done. Another fella on these forums is working on a tractor that had these same tires. They wear well but don’t pull
Those are more for hay/turf than row crop & choring. That tread pattern isn’t supposed to tear up the sod as bad. Dad put a new set of those on his 1066, it was all but useless for pulling the disc & field cultivator.
My brother bought an 8670 fwa Ford that had them on the main rears & the front. The duals were a 23* tread. It took about 1 month of using it before he bought new mains & front tires for it.

It was like using totally different tractors after swapping out the tires.

No way those guards would stop goats. Sheep must be a little less aggressive towards the trees.

they usually are pretty good but these Jacob cross sheep are stripping everything
In the next couple of weeks I’ll photo the damage they’ve done on the bigger
Apple trees

I don't doubt that they are destroying trees. Especially during the lean months. I think you need more space inside the tree enclosures. My goats got to some of the weeping willows I planted in my valley floor. I had fenced guard like you do. Didn't work, at least I have two they couldn't get to as they are outside their grazing pasture.

Good luck with your trees.

My tire guy told me they were great on sand. Could be. Not much for anything else. I’ve pulled that tractor several times when it was just stuck on top. A specific year we had it wouldn’t pull the drill. We switched tractors planted the whole place.

Oh @ajschainsaws yeah this and the Deere are about the same hp

Yeah. Pretty confused. It went together sooo well. Like they usually don’t. So yeah. Back into it tomorrow. Might just do the whole job again but hoping it’s something silly like air in a line.
Ummmm, air in what line? Ain't that a manual gearbox you picced?

Mine used to leak and I forget and get air between master and slave and it behaved poorly until it got itself together. I’d start it in gear and run it that way for a week double clutching and what have you so it would get itself together

Cuz said something about he had the master off. Not sure? I gotta get back with him so it’ll be a quick check.

Try bleeding it by removing the slave from the transmission but leave the line connected. Take the cap off the master. Then slowly push the slave cylinder piston all the way by hand and release it slowly a few times. That's how I bleed a stubborn clutch system.

Test drove. It’s got air for certain. Going back in after lunch.

Nah. So here’s what we’ve got. Air is out of system no big deal. Pedal needed adjustment. No big deal. After pulling the slave off again the threads in the aluminum won’t hold lol. I’m gonna come up with something to get it to hold the bolt one more time. May jb weld a stud in there and put a nut on.

truck shifts properly. Just gotta fix another mess. No big huge deal. I would just tap and heli coil but no room without pulling the whole unit so we gonna rig it. It’ll be ok. Again not a huge deal just working on an older rig. So my work wasn’t wrong which makes me feel better. Clutch is fine and hinges should be done in a few minutes in the morning

Get rolling. I've been going since 6:30 already. Extra bodies today so I am taking a day off and working on things here before the winter weather is supposed to hit tonight and tomorrow. Gotta make sure the tractor lights work in case I have to drive it to work. LOL Coffee time to check on some parts and then going again.

We are down a FWA tractor right now. Not the best time to be waiting for parts. Got the blade on the little LS in anticipation.
