Good morning Homemade.
Not a craigslist, but a Facebook add for tree work. I wouldn’t trust him to step one foot on my property with or without a saw.

Looks nice, but only run a couple times. I thought a couple was two, my wife and I are a couple, right lol.

I agree they do wear off fairly quick, but a couple times I can't agree with. The starter still has black paint on the stihl emblem. It doesn't take very much run time at all to have it worn off. They just didn't polish it up.
I doubt that, I agree with the above post, it doesn't have lots of hrs on it, but certainly doesn't look like it's been logged withMaybe he only ran it twice after he bought it from a logger?
I think your probably right Lee.I’m sure he meant the new bar that’s on it
Forgot to say; I called to ask as I was curious, and the number is no longer in service.I agree they do wear off fairly quick, but a couple times I can't agree with.

I wonder where the other bar is if that's the case. The saw has more wear than what the bar shows for sure.
For comparison here's my current 660, it's got 1 tank on it, or more maybe lol. This is the last time I used it last yr.
Pretty sure I burned through a tank or two on this job alone.

Here's another one, another tank. I have more pictures, but at least 10 tanks this year, nice to have when you need it, but could get by with out it if I had to or just wouldn't be doing those trees. City trees can be nasty anyway, but can pay well.View attachment 108131
The only new one i got it didn't last 5 tanks. I don't baby any saws and just use them like toolsI agree they do wear off fairly quick, but a couple times I can't agree with.

Wow, that's pretty quick. The only new one i got it didn't last 5 tanks. I don't baby any saws and just use them like tools
That's why I say that saw may have it been used once or twice. Some of mine have a coating of saw dust on the whole thing.Wow, that's pretty quick.
Funny how some saws they come right of and others they don't. The 359's seem to stay looking good for a long time, but the 2159's will have paint missing and the stickers seem to come off real easy, I often times have the recoil sticker missing on the jreds and the clutch cover sticker is almost always MIA.
I know you don't lol, I usually pay a pretty good amount for my tools use them for a bit, then rotate more into the inventory. Nothing wrong with what you do, I'm sure in the end we both end up doing just fine.
Kinda hard to even see the black on them then lol. That's why I say that saw may have it been used once or twice. Some of mine have a coating of saw dust on the whole thing.
The cleanest anything I have is the day I get it.[emoji52]Kinda hard to even see the black on them then lol.
Here's my previous one(just before I shipped it out), it was pretty clapped out.
You shoulda seen the one before that one.
I usually clean them nice when I get them and when I sell them, and just keep them blown of when I get a chance in-between.

I know I don't. I use air on them maybe once a yearYeh I try to clean mine down some but I can’t get them as clean as a Chipper saw lol. Probably don’t have the attention span to get to that point either
I get that. For many yrs I had to buy the crappiest things and get them running enough to get by as long as I could, now I try to buy the middle of the road and get by till I can get something a bit nicer. I don't care to much how clean they are when I'm using them, but it seems the best way to get the most cash out of stuff is taking pretty pictures for people, most times it has nothing to do with how well a product actually worksThe cleanest anything I have is the day I get it.[emoji52]
