I picked up my first Makita this past weekend because Ive been wanting to try one. My othere saws are Stihls and China clones. I have Stihl dealer that is close to me, not sure what's going on with them put only open 3 days a week. Used to be the place to go. There are 2 John Deere dealers that sell Stihl, but I don't get the warm fuzzies when you walk in and there is always a different parts guy behind the counter. A Big tree service company that I chat with occasional just switched over to Makita because of the service. They need there saws back when there down obviously. Thats a different story than me obviously but I have started going to the same Makita Dealer. They are open late, know their chit, and are fun to talk to. Plus they are members on here lol. I guess what I and others are saying is the dealer makes a big difference in choosing a saw or any piece of equipment even cars.

Just to clear the air. I like all saws. Many guys know that. I just prefer to run Stihls. Just me. I shouldn't get my balls busted for my preference. Anyone can run whatever saw they want.

So the third degree burns on your hands have healed up?

I am pretty sure we’d all be running Makita’s if the Cutting Edge was local to us.

Right? Lol. How can you not. I mean unless you’re the guy that walked in there and got hit in the head by a carburetor .....that’s funny!!!

Here’s an interesting thing from a place that has both Stihl and Husky all the old vet fallers run husky, when you ask them why they say my beer on Friday night belongs in my glass not on the floor.
