Hey guys I'd like to help you out here with the 064-066/046 conversion, but it's been so long ago. I'd have to see if I got some of my notes in the rewind spool mounting mod. I have since sold the 046 parts.

My family and I are presently in Charleston, South Carolina.
Beautiful 85°F here today. We really love this place. Great people, great food and lots to see here. Could easily retire here if I could.

What is the name of that eaten joint? I may want to go to Charleston now.

Can you learn much from the serial number?

Yours was made in Germany. First number is were the saw was built. 2 is the state's.

Need a little help sorting out what I bought in a parts lot. Getting to the point I'm going to try and make a saw out of it again.

Crankcase
Ser#: 174725418
Fly Side P/N 1122 021 0766
Poly flywheel
Pics would help a little but the flywheel is for late model 066 or ms660 what cylinder is it that you have?

EDIT: I was figuring it would be an 066 or 660, but my depth of knowledge on these is pretty shallow. It didn't come with a cylinder. :( I have a really nice Hyway here. I've also collected up some 064/066/660 used cylinders that I have to ship over yet.

Here's some pics...

It's good to have a complete bottom end. Those 1122 crank/case/ bearing/ignition are as clear as mud... Does it come with a coil?

If you can post up pics of all the parts that you do have then you'll get a lot of info from all of us.

It's pretty much pieces that have been collected up. There's a couple of round tops, 064 carb boxes - metal and plastic. The tank is wider at the rear than the carb boxes.

No coil. I think I may have an extra from the last build with a poly flywheel.

If the tank is wide then it for the bubble top 066&ms660.

Just rebuilt this tidy redeye 066 with a Cross MMWS top end. Saw was all original (with fully shielded bearings) but had been badly seized. Everything seems to work as it should including the red eye and I can't wait to see how it goes.
