When something sounds to good to be true..... The business model he ran did not stack up, he would undercut quality builders by 50%. I find it a little funny many fell into his BS without question or second thought. Building saws the right way takes time, money, skill & hard work. What did people think they were gonna get!

I took the advice of long time members on the forums to send my saw to him...that's the scary part.

Im takin advice from that riff raff sawmikaze guy from now on.

I knew as soon as my saw landed there and got to talkin with that dude that somethin was way off..it was too late.

I just love reading well written, thoughtful posts. You guys raised the bar.

He deserves to have an opportunity to fix himself. Won't happen if he never realizes what needs fixing. His *f-word-ups are well documented now.

I'll be glad when Jason Stratton is nothing more than a bad memory.

He shouldn't exist in this business.

I'm not keen on being called stupid, so I'll assume you aren't doing that lol.

He preys on new people behind the scenes. He's sociopathic in the most extreme way I've ever seen.

There's plenty of documented evidence of his activities now. Hopefully that prevents future crimes from taking place.

I had pm'ed him in January about porting my 660. Box it up, $250 up front. Usually 2 week turn around. I wasn't sure if I would port this saw anyway so I never sent it. Dodged bullet?

Nah, not callin ya stupid. Problem is anyone can get a few tools, a camera & YouTube account & call themselves a saw builder. A doctor, policeman, fireman etc cannot do this they need proper training & accreditation. A builder don't have no 'licence' or bit of paper to tell you how skilled they are. Some builders are highly skilled with many years of practice and history of quality work. We kinda rely on those we trust to send us in the right direction. Everyone seems to praise 'their' builder and often those giving review have know idea of what their talking about. How often do you see a thread with a heading like 'just got my saw back from .... & he's the best builder on earth'. Those fake reviews give folks a perception of trust & quality when its completely unfounded.

As said by a lot of guys, he is plenty capable of building a damn good running saw. I dont have one but have ran several that i wouldve been happy with in terms of performance. Its just all the other BS that has come to light recently that is the problem. Dude has problems obviously which is sad, but not as sad as ripping off a bunch of hard workin dudes and then calling them liars and threating violence and stuff. As spike said, crazy world we livin in these days.

To say you dodged a bullet would be an understatement.

I have no dog in this fight and I just lurk on here a lot, the thing that saddens and confuses me on this whole ordeal is what others have echoed. It appear's that JMS was absolutely capable of doing quality work and turning out good saw's, he just chose not to and instead chose to swindle people and has now tarnished his name and business forever, very sad.

He will probably try to "reinvent" himself with a new username. We will be forever watchful here........but he might get back in the game on another forum.

My spidey senses went haywire the first time Scott Kunz called him out. I had never seen Scott do that before, I got the feeling he had bit down hard enough that his teeth could stand no more. I thought surely Scott musta been in one of his saws(transactions) and Jason needed a beat down. Sure there were stories I had "heard" but I really wanted to believe otherwise. Sometimes we truly want to find the good in people....and can't .
Best to just avoid them.

Really is unfortunate, well maybe that's not the right word because it implies that the whole mess was accidental and nobodies fault..... it just plain sucks. He seemed pretty knowledgeable as I conversed with him and a few others on my 394 build thread. This thread is not the first time I have heard that he has the ability to build a respectable saw but bad dealings with customers has soured the milk. I have kept quiet about this subject for awhile, just observing. But when this many reputable people, not to mention the top primate in charge of this forum start putting the word out, in my mind there is truly something significantly wrong there.

Only wish there were some parts I have that I could donate to the cause but I own not a single Creamsicle.

That's gonna be tough... we know his name, address, even what he looks like with his gazzilion videos. I don't think he could pull it off for very long.

You're probably right.......

Strangely, he's used 290 different IP addresses while posting here.
