I'm sure you probably already know this but ebay has aftermarket strato top ends for around $40

I didn’t see any AM stratos. Just single intake blocks. $40 is about double what I was hoping to spend, but do you have a link?

Think so, but the intake track is different. So you need a different boot, carb etc.

I got motivated and got mine done I had already grinded on it before, this time I just added more I think only thing left to do is advance the flywheel and put it back together.
The bore and piston have seen better days not great but should run OK for this.
Disclaimer I'm no expert I just grind chit with my Dremel and try different things sometimes it work's sometimes doesn't just a hobby.

I lightened a few of the spinney things not much just few grams here and there might spool up faster? or not..

Just leave the muffler off. It should be good for a couple discretionary points. :D
Yeah am going to try it with no muffler for science and stuffs.
Think I'll leave the airfilter off as well it's just a restrictive lump of mattress foam lol

Here's my attempt..
It didn't go well at all snapped my Stihl semi chisel chain doing some tuning cuts then it vaper locked bad had to let it sit for an hr to cool down.
Also had to much timing advance along with the vaper locking leaning out made it hard to tune in the heat here I couldn't be bothered pulling it apart and backing the timing off.
Anyway I put another bar and fake Stihl RS safety chain on it and managed to get a video of it cutting just..
I can now safely say I'm over the POS and don't want anything to do with it anymore lol

I will add I enjoyed being part of this build off and hope to see some fast saws it's all in good fun I got my fix of tinkering cheers.

Looks like I need a new chain! I used the original pos!! Nice work sir.
Yeah a good chain helps probably most my gains lol my semi chisel Stihl chain that snapped had mods to make room for chips was an ok chain for this was a bummer it snapped.
My 2nd chain as in my video was a stock chinese copy of Stihl RS full chisel safety chain only thing different done I had hand filed it a few times nothing special I don't even round off rakers just a rub flat with a file (see pic in my last post).
And personally I don't file the gullet out for hardwood feels to slow the chain down to me in hardwood that's just my experience on it.
I don't get the whole safety chain cut's like crap thing cut's fine to me..

the chain you used looked aggressive the one I used came on the saw and is ate up but worked good enough to get the job done not going to buy a chain as I have nothing else that would use it. Also I think it’s a little more than a chain to make old “Mad Max” run like that lol
