We need to get together and run all of the ones we have like this. I have a Dolmar Heated 6400/7910 by Tree Monkey, a Solo 665/7910 by Mastermind, and I should have a Heated Dolmar 6400/7910 done by FarminKarmin soon.

Absolutely. Let me know when that last one is done. We’ll be cutting some big trees out of the neighbors woods and we should have some decent logs to set up for racing. We can make a gtg out of it.

I’m actually kinda nervous for Captain Blueberry to run head to head against Mater. That saw looks really stout. Nice work.

As much as I tried to make them the same they do seem to have their own individual quality's to them. I suppose in part just to the natural progression of workmanship bled through to some degree, being built so far apart from one another.
Blueberry is like a steam locomotive, the more fuel you shove into the boiler, the better it goes. most of which goes unnoticed. Mater on the other hand is a bit more conventional when tuning and perks right up when in the sweet spot.
We'll see what Eric thinks of it tomorrow...

If you can do that in today's environment, you are on the plus side of the ledger!

Oh yeah. Not much has really changed.

Someone posted about a 92cc Root chainsaw that cost 179.99 in 1962.

In today's dollars, that is about 1650.00

If you can find an MS661, it will cost about 1600.00 today.

I find this sort of stuff extremely interesting.

Just got this saw home tonight had to throw a bar and chain on it quick and run it again. What a beast. Another excellent job by @Stump Shot. I can’t say enough good things about his work.

Just finished up a brandy new 572xp last night, finally tested it after all my snow moving chores were done. I have to say these are really nice saws and they turn up quite well IMHO. Very smooth and powerful. :)
