This cut report is not so definitive, as I attempted to make a dual purpose play saw for myself, a 365 Special. When I say dual purpose what I would like it to do(if even possible) is to be able to cut both fast through a log and a sawed cant as well with some minor tweaking. Being a little out of my realm(worksaws), made for some interesting thought processes throughout the build. All I can say so far testing in a 20" hard maple log is that I'm still encouraged from the initial cut, which is still a touch fat tuned. More dickering will start to tell the tale better I would say.

This report is on a 351 Husqvarna with a 346xp cylinder and a Zama carb from a 359. Which fusses a lot less than the Walbro and any more is my preferred carb for this type of build. It's very easy to tune and still runs and cuts like the dickens. Makes for a pretty slick rig. :)

This cut report was a cold one, below zero actually, anyways this 372xp-xt heated things up nicely and made it through the rock hard frozen maple with ease. I don't know how long Husqvarna is going to keep making these, but I sure won't mind porting them as long as they do as they sure turn out quite nice. :)

Don’t hear that said too often about the Xtorque 372

I recently ran my XS 2166 against @Ketchup ’s XPW that he ported at my GTG with @cuinrearview. Same 28” chain, knotty pine. As I recall, the XPW edged out the 2166 by just a couple secs and my XS 7900 edged out the XPW. The xtorqs are no slouches. I like a grunty saw. That being said, I should now have a red XS XPW coming from @Cat 525. Not sure if I’ll keep the Dolly…

I think we need a re-match with a clear piece of wood. The 7900 should walk away from the other two.

Definitely not as simple to work out as a 371, 372oe or 2071, however it still makes for a dandy saw to work with. :)
I was building the XT's for a friend of mine for awhile. He was running them full time in the woods. They ran great but it didn't take him long to beat the bearings out of the bottom end. I was building them somewhat mild for longevity but it didn't matter. I gave up and told him to buy 572's. Now I'm putting bearings in one of those. Lol...Some guys are just hard on equipment.

I guess when you're a hammer everything looks like a nail. lol
That 365 Special I built was off of the 372xt I got from you.
