It's odd that I started a thread about the Husqvarna 572XP, and there's been so much talk about the Stihl MS462.

Why? I have no idea.....

But, heres my MS462.

Date of manufacture....12/18

Trade in.....used daily in the woods. Handlebar was bent, brake handle cracked. Top cover...ugly.

You ported a 562 for me, no problem and just sold it. Newer 562 no problems, rebuilt a 550mk1 ran it and sold no problems, had a 572 and sold it, just purchased a new 572 both no problem, have a 550mk2 no problems, ran it a lot this summer and fall. Rebuilt several for Ebels, most abused saws, couple straight gassed. Rebuilt several Stihls for them also. Have ran, owned, rebuilt many. Didn't you mod some saws for Ebels?
Your missing the point.
Randy is just sharing some of the problems he’s encountered. Obviously the ratio is low, most saws will be fine.

You just referred to 6 saws.

I do that many saws a week.

Most are good to go. But the ones that ain't are almost always 5 series Husqvarnas.

Paul Ebel has sent whole pallets of saws to me to have done.....but he gave that up after they moved into the new building.

Paul is good people.

No way is that a high use Stihl. Looks way to nice for a Stihl. Bad factory rings?

You really are butt hurt.

Now you're gonna insult me, and call me a liar because I'm sharing problems I've seen with a chainsaw?

You need to grow the *f-word up.

Yes, Paul, Dave, Doug, Tom, Gayle, and their families are great people.

Sorry, did not mean it that way. But you are not the only one to work on saws, those are my personal saws, at the moment. Talk about butt hurt.

I'm gonna bow out for the evening. Being called a liar pisses me right the *f-word off, and I dont want to say anything you might wish I hadn't.

Back when I used the 572 and the 462, I loved both of em. Both of them held up great, but the 572 did a just a hair more solid with the 6203 bearings. I wouldn’t have an issue recommending either of them. But I’ve never ran a 7900 or a 7310 Echo, I wish I could

sometimes it seems when you post one of these hear threads people get butt hurt and it goes to sh!t. Maybe you just need to lock these damn things from the start so you can have a thread for people to be informed of your findings without having to read all the bullsh!t
