As KenJax said they are both chisel. LPX has a small depth gauge and a bumper link, whereas LGX has a bigger depth gauge and no bumper link. Oregon's semi chisel chain in 3/8 is DPX.

No LGX is chisel too it just doesn't have the bumper like LPX has.

Oregon semi chisel in .325 is BPX and 3/8 is DPX.

They are a lot of German built pro saw for the money. Great design that ruffled the feathers of the major two brands. I have a red 6400 and bought a new spare OEM P/C off a member for not much $$ as many like to put the bigger 7900 cylinder on. Good saw to compliment the op's 40cc 421.

Got to run it a little bit more today bucking a deadfall leaner that I took down last week with the 421. I also whacked a few stumps that needed whacking. The power is niiiice, I have to retrain my muscle memory on how to use this thing to its potential.

I think it's idling a bit fast as the chain is running at idle, I need to screw around with the carb I suppose.

Very happy with my purchase.

Adjusting the idle screw didn't fix the problem, I assume I need to check the clutch springs and if those are fine, slowly adjust the carb L screw out/counterclockwise in order to fix the chain running at idle?

Could be in or out let the saw get good n warm and tweak it that's more than likely your problem doubt it's in the clutch

So, you're saying tweak the idle when the saw is good and warm?

Fire her up get it warm before you make any adjustments yes. Then try the idle screw again. Then as it idles find the happy place on yer low needle I've had a saw that I had to mess with the low needle to make the chain stop doing that. Same saw the chain moves a little until it is warmed up
