I have run it a couple times but i have a chain on it that the rakers were cut to low so very grabby.
I want to make a new chain and try it again. It did seem to have some nice power but i can't compare
to and 880 cuz i haven't run those in quite awhile. If i had to guess the 881 had a bit more. It is
impressive out of the box. All I've done is gas and oil it and run it. had a 42 inch bar on it and did a
few cuts in a piece of hard oak about 32 inch in diameter.

Under 1800 with bar and chain. Not sure what bar. Maybe something silly like a 21"

1750.00 shipped to me pho, In the same ball park i guess
but shipping from Canada to me has got to be well over a
100 bucks.

I'm happy with it so far. It will never see alot of run time.
it may never get broke in. Just wanted it to fill the 1124
series saws. Good looking saw too.

Sure my dealer looked it up quick and dirty. Not sure if he included tax on it or not. If he didn't it would be over $1800. I think you got a fair price. For a wrap handle saw shipped to your door.

Local guy on marketplace is selling a 881 to the tune of $2200 if I remember correctly. Good luck, dealers are getting them now and the new high price factor is wearing off.

Wow thats pricey, Better come with a 59 incher ES bar with 3 or 4 extra chains.

my dealer has one on order for me, i wanted the wrap too, but that will have to be later.
he told me who knows when i will get it, Stihl rep was in a few months ago, and told him that saws are on back order because they can't get some parts:(

View attachment 289685 They feel great, I like the slim design Stihl is heading towards with their saws, a nice change from the hateful bubbly 661 362 261 series. The 462, 500i and the 881 are all nice a slim.

History repeats itself. 064 and 084 were both pretty “slim” when they came out and still are for their size.
