880 full wrap is such a beast - how are you liking your 81’ vs the 80’?

I got the full wrap on today

I haven't run either saw in the wood yet. My 880 i bought years ago as a very low hour saw and never
cut with it that i remember. I want to try them both this weekend but depends on the 880 as it is flooding
it's self out. I need to put a carb kit in it as i'm sure the diaphragms may have dried out.

I did notice one thing different about your 881 verses mine, The Stihl name on the
clutch cover of your saw is black and mine is orange. Wonder what Stihl was thinking
when they made that change. I'm assuming your saw is earlier than mine.

I also notice the sticker on your filter cover where mine has Magnum, Interesting.

I didn't like the orange so I rubbed it off with carb clean and painted it black lol - be careful if you like the orange - the coating is extremely fragile - literally one spray of carb clean and it dripped the orange off - i was kind of shocked

Musta been Husqvarna orange.

That depends. The early 880....yep. The "revised" 880.....yuck.
