It was still very fat, but we didnt want to turn her up past 13,000 ...................

A stock 880 wont ever get to 11,000 RPM
They are limited by their coil to 10,500-10,600

Waiting on a carb kit for my 880 then to try them both. I did run the 881
this past weekend and it is very impressive. It seemed to pull very hard
in a hard piece of oak about 30 + inch diameter.

Yeh I was wondering this as well.
most times people like the 0 series saw because of better timing # and normaly unlimited coils and stuffs like the 066 but.
on the other hand the problems can have been ironed out as with the 044 and the 10mm crank also the 440 had more power and better carb etc.


Also I would be happy to hear others preferences on which 088\880.

Yeh I was wondering this as well.

In a nutshell, a new 880 can be made to run just as well, or better than any 088 for a worksaw.
Also, new 880's do not have the cast echo chamber that the 088 is hamstrung with

Have you had time to run your 881. My local dealer says he can get them. Which has me itching to buy one. Looking to hear some of your feedback on it.
