That may be true in smaller wood. His 310 seems to run 'too good' after the Muffler Mod.

Well I hate to see the MS500i get all the credit for the first chainsaw with fuel injection.
70 years ago in 1949 a Norwegian named Rasmus Wiig started a small factory in Oslo building a 18 lb semi diesel fuel injected chainsaw called the Comet Model A.
It could run in any position, could still start after being dunked in a barrel of water. Capable of burning almost anything for fuel.

In the early 1950's he contracted Swedish company Jonsereds to make him his saw parts.
In another few years Jonsereds bought him out then starting making their own chainsaws.

They call it the first EFI saw.
So electronics seem to be part of their ads.
Well the Germans can say what they want in their ads.

But when the Swedes at Jonsereds celebrated their 30th Anniversary in 1984 , there was no mention of their first chainsaw (Model XA) being originally from Norway.
In 1954 the Swedes crossed out Comet with a X and made a few design changes.
Beautiful done ads though:)

Well I can give the Swedes some credit. One company in the country did make one of their first 2 man chainsaws.
It was a saw with a 1938 Harley Davidson VFD 1200cc motorcycle engine mounted to a Dolmer Type C clutch and bar mount.

Old scratcher chain needs a little work.
Ooops video doesn't work.
Try again.

2C452B1C-1F0F-4CFA-84B2-08D03107719E.png Can’t imagine the price will be more than a ms661 and they’re around 1300$ if I remember right. Also anybody watch the German 500i test against the ms 462 and ms661, the 500i was the slowest of the three. All three had new chains only thing is maybe the 500 didn’t have enough tanks to be broke in yet.

Yes 661 had a longer bar and the other 2 had 20” bars, all were new chains and I know that doesn’t mean all the same sharpness but even on the small log at the end the 462 was too close to the 500i. Was thinking it would be a bigger margin between the two saws with the 500 being 3-4 sec faster not 2 slower on average. Yes it is just one video and not perfect in technique but still pretty close between the two. Can’t wait till I can try both for myself.
