Nice job BenI welded up this deflector to stop exhaust from hitting the case near the dog. Drives me nuts Stihl's do this and the heat can't be a positive thing for charge density and bearing temps.View attachment 36144
It still points off to the side, it just deflects it past the case.I thought they aimed it toward the chain to help lube it with the mix oil .
Or was it so the exhaust does not catch what you are cutting on fire ?
