Cool! I doubt my 036 has that.

The oiler is already adjustable and oils pretty well as it is. It simply allows greater flow in that "A" max range for long bars. You could easily extract the pin and replace it with one installed back at the original 'limited' position. Don't see any benefit to punching one in anyway unless you're running a bar longer than 36" all the time.

All true...even before I punched the pin in on mine they kept a 32" decently wet, I've only ran my 41" cannon maybe 3 times but with the pin punched it kept it pretty wet., I was kinda surprised with a bar that long.

I didn’t think this one oiled any better than my 372 or 385/390 before I punched in the pin. Now it’s as good as them or better. This is from what I saw with 24” bars. I always set my oilers to max if I can, bars last longer.

I didn't know we were comparing to husqvarna saws but rather just talking about how a 661 oil pump operates..what did I miss ?..every husqvarna saw I've had oiled well, stihls not so much unless it was an R model..I think stihl providing the option to gush a little more oil without buying a HO pump or buying an R model was a good move.

Agree on all points, was just sharing experiences compared to what saws I have on hand as that’s what I was familiar with.

Easiest way to get more oil out of an 034/036 pump is to just run a drywall screw into the brass insert at the bar mount delivery end of the oil line and pull it out with a pair o' pliers. Removing the pump to do the other modification would require way too much time and cussin'. LOL

i ill put some pics from a MS 362 with M-Tronic Version 3 online tomorrow.
I got one with a faulty carb here.

I should be getting the 4703 ECU with the v.3.0 software and new WJ-134 up and running on this 661 project tomorrow. Will see if I can get some video of the calibration routine when I fire it up. Will be interesting..., especially if it doesn't go according to the book.

30 seconds in start position with chain brake engaged,
60 seconds with trigger at full throttle (or until it idles down),
then another 30 seconds with throttle trigger at idle position before shutdown?

Just curious...

No.

Dr Al posted, and from my notes: Start position for 60 sec, Full Throttle 30 sec, allow saw to return to idle ... YOUR DONE!

They should sell the autotune/mtronic service tools to the general public like they do automotive chit.

I can assure you that none of the wood hoes I know are gonna understand any of this stuff and know what to do if their chainsaws starts acting funny, maybe I'm just a stick in the mud.
