Or you can buy just the foam element and put it over a gutted stock cage. I believe just the filter is $14Holy Ball-sack, I just seen price of the Maxflo @ $54.95 on HL....Is it worth it worth it? Or should I just blow out and wash out factory filter. WOW.....
They used the open end of the scrench to capture the clip then slide into place. There is no where for it to fly off toCurious what it is Keith
Old cranks with factory al flywheel are different than the poly ones. Have not tried the new after market metal on the poly crank. What is best..... Alloy or poly flywheel?
Us dealer price is 35 on 066 piston. List is around 50.I had a local Stihl dealer tell me it was $282 for an 066 Piston...... just the piston, nothing else. The rest was extra!
Its annoying when i can buy a used saw thats in need of a rebuild for not much less than a new saw costs in the states.
When the $ was at US parity, I was busy bringing in gun stuff..... cheap cheap!

I would keep the saw in a safe don't worry about just the jugYou clowns have me getting all jacked up about this 660!!! Dave before you fuel that 044 just check the oil thread to see what's the very best at that time. jmssaws I would keep that jug in my safe too with Dave running around turning over every rock he finds looking for 066 parts!
+ 1 on that I don't think I will ever sellI have a M/M late model 660 and I must say they are tough, oil well and its a pretty darn reliable saw that will work day in day out. However this saws dna and platform is three decades old and much has changed in AV and usability in that time, you will notice that will the saw idleing in your hands. Many who have used all models in the 066/660 designations will prefer the cylinder performance of the 066. I will pick up my 681solo or 7900 8/10 times for jobs that require 25" b/c. They drink fuel too the 660 ported or not. But they are a really well built simple 90cc saw that has been a bench mark for many years. I am in no hurry to sell mine, AM parts for these are cheap and readily availible although I have only used OEM. Good tough 90cc saw built for the logging industry.
Wow I want one
I believe in supporting local business whenever I can, it makes sense but when it comes to stihl products insanity is the word that describes what some charge. The only thing the bloke asking $282 needed to complete his look was a gun & mask!lol l needed a cylinder for a blower that msrp's at $249 new and was quoted $188 just for the cylinder!lol It's good for a laugh but that's about it.I had a local Stihl dealer tell me it was $282 for an 066 Piston...... just the piston, nothing else. The rest was extra!
