Stihl 066 Red Light

I just took a bit of a video of the red light operating while I was tuning the saw in the garage.

The coil limits revs to 13500
Red Light starts to flash as revs get over 10800 and holds solid at about 11500 to 11600
I played with bringing the H screw back to where the light was just blinking while tuning and I got 10900 rpm

Too rich for me.

I leaned it out and brought it back to 12500 where it had a nice burble without being overly rich.
I will experiment with H tune more while cutting to see where the best torque is.

This bar is a 28" 375 050 and was next to impossible to find.

I love the bar but wish they were easier to get.

Look after it mate, because when I enquired about a 20" CN40 bar I was told they no longer make them under 44"

I am really happy with the pro top bar so far!

I try not to use it much but it's the only 28" I have and I like a 28"

Gb makes a bar that's painted white. They last pretty good. I've got one I think left.

The pro top is their top of the line bar.
The CN40 is a pro top with a slightly higher hardness rating

They now make them as an Orange/Black bar which I like

Hell square is also rare... I buy loops online. Nothing wrong with round though, been doing some tinkering with both shapes lately.

My round chains are pretty good free handed, and since acquiring an FG2... My chains are even better lol. I need a square grinder next haha

Still don't complain about filing out in the woods i'd needed.

My 066 looks suprisingly similar.

Got my 28" off Redbull too.

Took apart a 40' tall by 36" wide Sugar maple. Noodled the rounds into quarters to hump them out of the woods. All with one light filing on .404. Amazing stuff for real work.

Degree Wheeled the Red Light 066 today

Ex - 96*
Tx - 118*
In - 82*

Squish at .020 with a gasket and compression sits at about 162 psi

Anyone see any easy improvements to be had?
I recon for a firewood saw, it should be pretty good as is.

My other 066 with the decomp will become the monster
