There's yer answer. Clogged nose...Ok this was the muffler cover that was on the saw. I had planned on switching covers between the 024 and the 026 but forgot to. Well at least I'm raising the intake...

I would drill the holes bigger or better yet use a cutting wheel on a dremel and connect the dots!Ok this was the muffler cover that was on the saw. I had planned on switching covers between the 024 and the 026 but forgot to. Well at least I'm raising the intake...

Carve it open like the one in Brewz picture. I did mine almost identical, and it absolutely rips for a stock saw. Is your back half wide open, or baffled?
Very nice! Tell me you welded that up yourself?

No idea on the OEM flocked flow.I have the flocked version not the nylon. Does the oem flocked one flow good enough? At least this newer version is reasonably priced.
Double Barrel!Ms260. Ported with an 044 carb. This is a cheap aftermarket muffler I modified. Back half is open. The 2 short pipes are 5/8 ID. View attachment 7867
And that's how we learn new things!!Yes I did with a mig. I'm trying to think out side the box on this saw.
Muffler always wet on breakin. Running great.
Seems like it wants lower rakers to me. 024 surprising. What was done to it?
