84 works. 88 is too much on 52mm top end. I know this for sure

My brother rebuilt it, had every bolt, every gear apart. Had the bed trued up and new shims in everything.

I couldn't believe he actually got it back together, shoulda seen this thing in pieces! Lol

Your brother is a very talented guy Deets. And after seeing those walnut stairs you made, it evidently runs in the family.

Didn't get to use the lathe, the 4 jaw chuck that we have is for the rotary table on the mill. Not the lathe.
