Was gunna run the solo today but timing seemed way advanced, I set it about 1/8 advance. Got the nut off the flywheel (which was plenty tight enough) and saw this



See the shiny ridge at the end of the taper? End of the flywheel was hitting the end of the crank.
I opened her up a little at the end and roughed the taper up with emery cloth, along with the crank. Hopefully it's seats this time.

@Mastermind and @Miller Mod Saws, either off you guys seen this before?

Flywheel fell right off after I got the nut off, never did lock in the taper

I already opened it up with a burr, but it had a casting ridge at the edge of the hole, didn't need much grinding at all

Got the flywheel locked down good and set at about 1/8 of the key advance.

Mounted the wheel last night but didn't have a T 25 torx here at the house. Couldn't do anything.

This is with no base gasket and .019 squish. Never did check compression either, not too worried about that

Dolmar 7900 metal gasket is .016-018".
