Exactly. We're all human(at least the majority of us) and we make mistakes and say things we shouldn't say from time to time. We need level headed and impartial moderators to help keep us in line. I don't know what the policy on banning someone is but in my humble opinion it should come to a vote between the mods. I don't feel like one mod should be able to ban someone just because a member said something one mod disagrees with. I know that has happened in the past. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

Yes, chainsawforum.com was created for THE VERY SAME REASON that we have experienced over this past weekend, where people get peeved at AS and OPEForum.

And in 2-3 years, a forum will be created as an alternative to chainsawforum.com, for the same reasons that created it in the first place.

There were members making suggestions that had no idea of the most recent happenings. Where do you feel the line should be drawn? Should they have knowledge of the most recent event? The most recent 2 events? Seems implicit that he’s asking members who have watched the cycle of events on this forum and others preceding it so we can try our best for that not to happen again. It has nothing to do with what you are implying as arrogance.

That’s what the search function is for. We don’t need to rehash anything, you want the back story, go back and read starting about 2017-18ish….

Hello everybody! I've been off this forum a while because of my poor ability to get logged on. Finally got help with it. I've been following this and just thought I'd add my thoughts. I have made a lot of friends and contacts on here over the years. I can say there are always two sides to every story.
We all have a tendency to get our feathers ruffled at times. I think that happens everywhere. Just the people involved in the scuffle need to work it out. Never thought crying in public was necessary.
Hope this forum sticks around as really enjoy it. Just have to sift through the BS sometimes or join in with it. Up to your own decision on that!

Kinda doubt it the chainsaw forum doesn’t look like it has super heavy traffic and the vast majority of the riff raff is still here

I should reframe this statement. With busy lives often times there has been only one mod on “duty”. For the most part the place really runs itself with 99% of members self moderating. I’ll reiterate you have 3 good mods to move forward with fellers. Now im going to step back off while I deal with some not so pleasant recent happenings in my personal life.

It’s exactly what I would tell them. It’s precisely what I did when I joined, didn’t post a single thing for a year.

Talking about it over and over again or repeating it isn’t anything anyone involved wants to do again. Same for anyone involved in any of the incidents that have happened over the years, as the vast majority of it isn’t pleasant.
