Fukkin oil thread.....
I switched to saber and after the oil test thread I switched to dominator. I still think saber is good oil.I was running Schaeffer’s previously as well but also made the switch. Amsoil is good stuff.
Both good oils. I prefer Dominator as well.I switched to saber and after the oil test thread I switched to dominator. I still think saber is good oil.
I'm getting it for about 13.00 a court. Retaile here is 18.00 to 20 somethingGreta agrees
I'm running Schaeffer's boat oil have been for about 8 years
Great stuff Is it the best i don't know or care
But It's definitely the cleanest burning oil I've ever used.
But it's 25.00 a quart now.
So I bought 6 quarts of Castrol go to try it was 33.00 eggshooter had good results and it's inexpensive compared to other's
If I don't like it I'll get dominator

Ran my saws like that for years. You’ll be fine. But probably experience more carbon buildup inside the noise maker and also dry parts upon disassembly.I'm cheap & have enough Stihl Ultra to mix 20 gals+ before I switch to Saber, so I'd be happy to serve as the crash test dummy if anything goes sideways. Stock Stihl saws, adjustable carbs tuned to factory specs, 50:1 mix ratio, & sharp chains. Wish me luck...
Yeah, the piston tops show more carbon than I'd like, but the mufflers don't show anything alarming. Yet...You’ll be fine. But probably experience more carbon buildup inside the noise maker and also dry parts upon disassembly.
Sorry, I was implying that the engine was the noise maker. Piston tops and combustion chamber for sure.Yeah, the piston tops show more carbon than I'd like, but the mufflers don't show anything alarming. Yet...
