My dad looses his glasses on a regular basis, usually finds them on his nose. ;)

He doesn't realize he's wearing them whenever he cleans the lenses, which he does only when he realizes it's not fog he is seeing. :p

I lost a carburetor for a month, I gave up on finding it, turns out it was on my trucks dash the whole time. I could have swore it was on my bench, boy was i wrong.

I don't get it, every time I do something like that I wonder how in the Hell I could have missed it. It's like it is sitting there in some sort of fourth dimension or has a 'force field' around it that prevents me from seeing it (cue Twilight Zone intro...).

Well, I ordered some new chaps so I expect my old ones to show up before they arrive in the mail, lol.
I did think of one spot to check when I get back in town and that's with my ropes. I didn't actually look in those bins.
Also, I figured out when I for sure used them last and it was at my own house.

Yeah, the ones I lost are 40" and the replacement is 35 so I figured Groundi can wear them. She uses some forestry pants now but they're really hot and heavy.
I'm back home but haven't been out and about yet. Just getting up and need to make a pot of coffee and stuff...

Mine are starting to get a little ripe. Any suggestions for a pair that will last longer than a couple seasons?
They can be washed (hand washed and laid flat to dry) if it's just that they're grungy.
They are a piece of equipment that will wear out just like gloves, boots, etc. So maybe you're just putting a lot of use on them. I did have to have one strap sewn back on. (probably caught it on something while fighting through the brush.)
The Laybonvilles I've been using are really robust. This new pair is Forester brand so I'll write a review on them since I have a comparison.

They're just brush whipped to death. Next pair I'd like to be more resistant.

I would check next to the files, injector oil, bar oil and other crap you really don't need to run a saw.

Of course! I found them. The replacements haven't even arrived yet as predicted. I went to the shop to check my rope bins which are on top of a large gray metal shelving unit that I keep my running saws, bar oil and mix oil on. I peered into the bins and boxes and after not locating them I stepped back down to ground level wondering where in the world those things could be. And then, right in front of me, there they were. Not wadded in a ball but hanging full length on the left side of shelving unit. "face palm". I should have seen them sooner but didn't. Just glad to have them back...
