You wheel is horizontal and your motor at 90 degree. You can also get to your dressers with that angle finder.
I need digital, I thought you have met me.that was from tractor supply for 30 bucks they make one that folds up as well but not digital
Don't overthink it Anthony. That first pic is just about as good as you're going to ever get. I like a little more forward lean for race chain than work chain. For reference this A recent pic of one of mine. Virtually identical to yours.
Remember also that the camera angles can change your perception a little bit too.
I need that tooth, that looks great

I like that junkman. I like it a lot.View attachment 60516 View attachment 60518 To find the top plate chuck up the chain in your usg ,turn the table till it lines up with top plate then read the angle on the table part
On my rs2 i change it by moving the chain holder ,further out i get less angle, like 15-20 ,closer in gives more like 25-30 ,i mill with 15 square ,reg cutting 15-20, 25 is faster but dulls quicker for me.I like that junkman. I like it a lot.
What would a man have to do, to change his top angle?
I'll try that tomorrow. Personally, I like 22.7 degree. But others like more, some like less. Just trying to find that happy medium. Or just do them all the way I like it.On my rs2 i change it by moving the chain holder ,further out i get less angle, like 15-20 ,closer in gives more like 25-30 ,i mill with 15 square ,reg cutting 15-20, 25 is faster but dulls quicker for me.
That is a good angle, only reason i go for less is durability if get a dirty spot ,it is all compromise ,22-23 is close to off the roll rslf i get ,and it hold up good.I'll try that tomorrow. I seem to like it. That's where it's set at now, and I don't wanna change it. But the lean is easy to change and or change back. I'll grind a few more tomorrow, with forward lean. And post it. But I can't tell a difference in the cut, from 1 degree to 5 degrees. So what does forward lean really do? And why is it important? That is a good angle, only reason i go for less is durability if get a dirty spot ,it is all compromise ,22-23 is close to off the roll rslf i get ,and it hold up good.
What will, 8 degrees forward lean do? Where is to much then. Let's say a stihl 044. 20" bar. 3/8 x .050.More will self feed faster, grab harder ,less will help a saw with less power pull a longer bar.and cut a little smoother.
Have never tried that much, sounds like it would be grabby and may go dull pretty fast though for work. What will, 8 degrees forward lean do? Where is to much then. Let's say a stihl 044. 20" bar. 3/8 x .050.
Does that help keep the chain "action" up down on the bar less, and save wear on a bar and chain?I like that better. Should feed with lower rakers.
