Rustoleum grill paint. Thank me later. All gutted and an extra deflector must flow better. I had to open the H quite a bit for it to be happy. You can lean on it more now. I was cutting some rock hard ash and it felt like a different saw compared to stock.
The only problem was that the 500 degree caliper paint I had been using must have been too old. The finish pebbled and while the paint was completly dry, all of the dust settled on it and stuck like it was pine. I’ll have to wire wheel and repaint View attachment 184215
Heat up the muffler a little with a torch. Paint will stick better and pretty much dry immediately. The stuff stumpshot posted a pic of is probably even better. However anything will eventually come off after a while if you hit the muffler on the wood. Just the way it is.Did that adhere well? Maybe they changed the formulation of the stuff since I used it years ago rubbed off pretty easy. This newer stuff is tough?
Looks good!Round 2. High temp grill paint. Heated up and ready to go View attachment 184272
That's the stuff I was using.I’ve been using this stuff for a while now. It’s expensive but it’s the best I’ve found yet for mufflers. Dries to a nice satin finish View attachment 184273
