I’ve been wanting to make a curved pipe like that for a long time. Do you think you could create a full 360 degree spiral pipe? A longer pipe seems to improve performance but isn’t practical for a work saw. But if you could coil it to keep it under the hood…

I do realize that a long pipe and an expansion pipe are different and that a tuned expansion pipe will produce more power. Expansion pipes just aren’t practical for a work saw.

I think it all matters in the world of harmonic 2 stroke exhaust tuning.
Id, wall thickness, length, straight, curved, chamber, no chamber,

Ive slightly eyed doing another pipe staying away from muffer bolt and making a full circle I think I can with slight tighter shorter pie cuts.
By Short I mean more curve per pie. 17-20deg vs the normal 12-15 pie.

12deg virtually had no growth when welded to a square cut. Well a 12deg pie is only 6deg cut.

Well see what the 44 gets. It seems to have liked the spark box but I havent cut with it yet

Any power increase with the extension?

I think it will run for about 3 seconds under water maybe slightly longer than a urban snorkel on a Toyota

I fired it up in the garage without the bar attached. With or without the extension, it runs lean because the 1/2" pipe I.D. is larger than oem, so I need to tune richer. I probably should've used 3/8" pipe. I'm not ready to make more slabs yet. There's snow on the ground so it might be awhile.

Dolmar 6400 muff for a 7900 conversion
Opened it up, took all the junk out and put it back together. Opened the stock outlet up as big as I could with still being able to use a spark screen if desired. Now it’s an empty can with a bigger inlet and outlet.C2771445-CD81-4D4E-8FD9-EB4F294F47C4.jpegE70B4204-E876-4937-BF87-079AD49C6AE7.jpeg33FF854F-D6D8-4DE5-BAA2-342BB1259E77.jpeg

Maybe. Usually I just stop seeing gains and it keeps getting louder.
i would think that would be the case eventually. but where is the line when is enough, enough.
