I just went through a phase of pipe enthusiasm. I like the way they look and sound. Unfortunately, I was running my 385 about 6 weeks ago and caught a tree on fire at the pipe outlet. Not sure how to move the pipe back farther.
I keep most of mine blowing out on about a 45 so they don’t get too hot. Trying, at least…

I don’t intentionally stick any amount into the muffler. I eyeball it up, cut it off and push it in maybe 1/8”. But if I thought it was sticking out too far, I’d push it in another 1/4” and braze it there. I don’t see where it’s going to make much difference

Onlt difference here is I make them flush, agree 100%, they’re going to be loud anyway, sticking in a bit isn’t any quieter.

Maybe local metal shop?

Mine come from work. They are crush limiters so bolts dont collapse the part during assembly. When i cut the parts to check welds i just pop them out when i need them. And yes i have permission haha.
