I was contacted by the newly joined member "Cupholder" He is a scammer. Joined forum Yesterday 30 Mar 2025. He sent me this

"Hey how are you? i hope i met you well? mr sam a trader do have this Jonsered 2172 PTO/Clutch side case 1/2 in a good condition and he said he will sell at a moderate price, i think you should reach him at tradewithme145 at aol so he can show you what he has, tell him adrain referred you best of luck"

I recommend moderators take care of this!!!

This is such a common scam that I'm going to sticky this post.

There is no legitimate reason to respond to a "wanted" post by pm instead of publicly, and there's no good reason to redirect anyone offsite.

Let the buyer beware. As it is written, the evildoer fears the light.

I ignore the scammers here but sometimes screw with the FB hero scammers.

Been there done that. Got scammed on Arborsite and i knew better but was needing part so bad i fell for it. I hate f-in scammers. GRRRRRRRR

Sucks. Impulse purchases are my online weakness. Twice I've let myself be scammed here. Think I'd learn.

Once I think the guy was just broke enough to take the money and run. The latest was a very similar scenario to this. An obvious scam had I taken a minute to put my glasses on and look at the stats.

There was a dude in KY that thought he was gonna stick it in me without KY. AS days. I turned up the heat and got my $$ back. At one point I was starving him and his family or the lights were getting turned off or some BS. CIA Mike wasn't so lucky.
