Well uhh I did run my old redtop 7900 I ported myself with a dremel and no degree wheel ... same b/c . I decided it was time to dust her off from retirement. She sat several months dry in retirement from this past winter logging with it.

Keepin them stihls in check . It beat both the 461/064 by about half a second, which isn’t much. But I’ll take that win.

The rest of the logs will be used for ported 7900 testing. Sondre will be paying a visit with some 73/7900’s sometime. Should be fun.

Yes, with the needle about to fall out. I got the impression I was nearing rich, from what I remember, the max rpm decreased a bit as I backed out the needle. I don't think I made it as rich as I could have, but I aimed definitely on the rich side, or so I thought. It was a few years ago.

It's a piece of semi-dry knotty Pine.

24" 3/8 Archer loop touched up a bit.

24" 3/8 Husqvarna /Oregon Vanguard loop touched up a bit.

Both chains are making chips the size of noodles. Am I doing something wrong?

On mine, when the wood was 18" or smaller, the 8 was faster.
In larger stuff it was a wash.
24" bar and 8 pin made the clutch unhappy.
Mine is still picking up rpm with each tank through it.

It stays with a 7 and a 20" bar now.
