Hear there is a fire sell recall going on now too. Shoddy work has been exposed.

The Helsels live an hour south of me, but I don't know them. Eric is 6 hours south of me, and I've met him, but don't really know him either. I am aware of the history between them. I don't have any saws built by either of the two, but Eric and Dave are pretty good friends and it might be best if you kept the past in the past on this one

I live 40mins from him. Used to consider him a friend too till 2010.

We used to travel long distances together to the real racing events and both of us ran Helsel hotsaws in the end.

That was till he fubarred me too. So yeah there is alot of history that goes back.
Guess what he is the one burning the bridges with everyone he fuks over. Think on that.

Only the newer guys that dont know better fall for his crap.

I guess my reasoning also is that he's not on this site. And without being able to defend himself on here we should just leave it alone. Those that know him and want him to build them a saw are going to do that. It's just how things are.

I did get in the $ in 3ci that day.

Have met Cliff too and just talked on the phone.

Going back over to my little hole now.

I haven’t seen where Dave has even posted anything on the matter yet. This is between those 2. I have numerous saws done by Erik, only work saws but there has not been any signs of this shoddy work you’re crowing about. They all run great and he’s been super to deal with on all aspects. There is more to the story than what is being stated.
Another thing, speed cost money, *s-word breaks...... ALOT, don’t matter how much you spend. Parts you think are good turn out to be duds. Either fix or junk it and move on!

I've seen the videos of the inside too. All I will say you need to go look at that BS for yourself.

Never seen a intake done on a $3000 saw like this before either smh. I know what my 3K saw had and it wasnt that BS.

Eric has reached out to me about this issue and to a handful of other guys who had the same model saw built around the same time. He thinks there is an issue with the big end bearings he bought and is willing to make all the saws right out of his own pocket. Everybody seems to have a dog in this fight either pro or against Copsey, it is pretty antagonistic.
I have spent enough time on this saw/issue, I am gonna let it go, better for my mental health that way.

Those video's I seen, there was way more wrong then just a crank bearing IMHO Dave I am so sorry this has happened to you and your hotsaw.

Yours is way worse. But a little how I felt on my 5ci back in the day 2010. This one right here is what broke the straw and my husky sign.
