Sometimes I do that. I was just running saws to be running them.

Most of us here get like that. Cut half a tree up so a week later you can cut the other half.

Hybrid put a whoopin on muh 66

Sounds good ,My hybrid sounds pretty similar in softwoods i cut .High rpm's in the cut .

You can load a saw just as much in soft wood I believe.

Semi skip in 19" Oak will turn a 14 second cut into a 16 second cut.

And I know Fir is much tougher than Pine, but one of the guys at the CT GTG told me he could not "load up" my 362 (with square file) in the 16" pine. That saw also flies through Silver Maple, you would think it was paper mache!

Uh huh ,full comp sucks falling a fir tree ,will stop your chain dead in it's tracks .

You think that's bad until you get into some dry sappy pine. That crap bonds to the rails damn near needing chiseled out, and after only a couple cuts.

Semi skip with a 32" buried will help you clear chips where full comp stalls

I was running semi skip on an 044 w/28" bar, but changed it over to full comp (RSL). When I made my notches, the semi seemed to get "stopped" on the angle cuts. IMO, the full comp runs smoother doing that.

Anyway, I would really like to see you and your saw at a GTG near me, that Hybrid looks impressive.

I've considered doing a Hybrid several times, but have not pulled the trigger on doing it.

Try more aggressive angles and that will go away. I don't have a problem with skip in 3/8" or .404" making notches.

You seem to really like 70cc stihls Mike, you might as well get a ported hybrid too

I usually run full skip on 32" and above regardless of the power head

Oilers like a 394 or 9010 keep the sap at bay a little better.
