This is one of my all time favorites. I've wanted one for myself for a long time. I finally ported it and got it pieced back together.

Stihl 034 super. Tilly carb running a 7 pin with 3/8 chain on a 20" bar.

One of my favorites too, runnin the same setup as you.

Damn good running saw there deeter. Looks great.

Imo the 034 supers are sort of a factory hot rod. The stock cylinder porting is awesome. I think they get overlooked quite often with the 036.

Mine stomped my 036. Good factory shapes

Exactly, my 34 is modded. But not ported, cleaned the carbon out of the ex. But that’s it
They don't need much to really wake up.
I still need to play with the tune a bit more and I might give it a touch more ignition advance.

They like advance
Exactly. I took .025 off the key and it hasn't tried to bite me yet. I'm thinking about taking another .010 off

Those 34's look really good. Those 044 and 044/6 are punching way above their weight class now.
Can I pull the base gasket on my stock 036 to mod it without band work? I did not check my squish yet. I went to start it last, it sneezed and destroyed the recoil. Probably the carb all junked up from sitting. Going to open the muffler and do a timing bump.
Going to try getting a few saw videos this week. Going over these saws now.
What set up do you guys want to see run on a bone stock 660 dual port?
036 stock single port for initial video.
660 muffler mod set up for the mill.
066 stock single port for initial test. Get timing bump, gasket delete, intake track match and gutted muffler no screens. I have three stock mufflers, one dual, two single and a new hyway dp. All three run very well. All oem untouched long blocks.

B&C's
16-28 3/8 50
32 3/8 063
36 3/8 50

28 404
40ish 404

Anyone considering going from TN to MI?
They are back to back this year.

For your 036, I would use either 18 or 20" 3/8 for some test cuts.

For 660, 28" 3/8.

I'd have to check my notes Kenny.

Off the top of my head, 034S can be gasket delete, but 036 are too tight. I could be wrong.

A piece of paper and some sealant could be your friend though.
